The International Office, SIMATS Engineering was established with a vision to promote and nurture academic and research collaboration with International Universities, Research Industries and Organizations functioning across the world. The key focus is to facilitate the students’ mobility for Semester Abroad Programme to acquire quality overseas education in the state-of-the-art technology. In addition, exchange of faculty between the Universities enabling the knowledge transfer to the student fraternity through the credit transfer courses, internship and post-graduate courses.

The following are the vital functions carried out by the International Office:
1. Signing up of MoUs between Saveetha School of Engineering, SIMATS and repute international universities and organizations.
2. Facilitation of Student Mobility through the Semester Abroad Programme for pursuing courses in several degree programmes and final year projects.
3. Mobilisation of students for the internships in International Universities
4. Exchange of faculty to pursue research in current trends and technologies
5. Conduction of seminars, guest lectures, and workshops by expertise and eminent professors from international universities and organizations
6. Identification and appointment of appropriate field experts in several domains as external international adjunct faculty.
7. Appointment of International examiners for framing and developing new courses and assessment of the same.
8. Research collaboration between faculties in order to apply for joint project proposal
SSE had signed more than 110 international MOU’s and appointed more than 200+ adjunct faculty from several Universities across the globe. Regular credit courses handled by expertise from abroad institutions are provided to the students of SSE.
