DEPARTMENT OF BIOINFORMATICS
The Department of Bioinformatics deals with teaching computational and biological techniques to solve complex biological problems. The department strives to facilitate learning in cutting edge fields such as Forensics, DNA fingerprinting, Stem cells, Cancer research, Genetic methods of medical diagnostics, Evolutionary studies and Genetic Counseling. We are equipped with intellectually active faculty members specializing in multiple areas of life science, having research collaborations with International Universities and research laboratories. Our students are pursuing internships in offshore laboratories and industries to enhance their technical skills. To support these theoretical learning, we have established well-structured wet and computational labs.
